Engineering

SENIOR ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEER (Location : San Jose)

Candidate will architect design approaches, perform transistor level design of analog circuits, complete simulations to assess circuit performance, oversee IC and evaluation board layout and perform evaluation of silicon performance. Candidate will also supervise junior level engineers, develop engineering specifications and lead projects from concept through transfer to production.

Requires MSEE and 6+ years of experience in analog CMOS IC design, knowledge of CMOS amplifier design, biasing methods and analog to digital conversion techniques. Experience in high speed A/D conversion and phase locked loops is a requirement. Knowledge of high speed transmitter/receiver design and of image processing is a plus. Candidate must have experience with leading projects and transferring successful designs to production.

ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEERS 

Duties: Conduct analysis, design, simulation and characterization of analog circuits applied to mobile communications, video and other areas. Specific tasks will include:

- Transistor level design of high speed analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, voltage references, PLLs, LNAs, data converters;
- Detailed layout of circuits;
- Product evaluation and characterization;
- Assist in Applications Engineering, Product Engineering and Test Engineering to bring products to market.

Design, develop, modify and evaluate integrated circuitry for electronic equipment using Verilog RTL level coding and Synopsys. Design Compiler. Determine design approaches and parameters, implement design verifying functionality and timing, generate production test vectors, and perform bench level testing and evaluation.

ALGORITHM DESIGN ENGINEERS

Apply good understanding of electronic circuit analog and digital design technologies to conduct integrated circuit algorithm design for digital communication systems and digital ASIC design, including definition of signal processing requirements for PC to TV video encoders and decoders, and image sensors for video conferencing and security markets. Specific duties include the following moderately complex tasks:

• Perform modeling of electronics system;
• Evaluate performance versus die size tradeoffs;
• Develop electronics engineering specifications; and
• Review evaluation of electronics product.
