Description

Chrontel’s CH6000 series passive equalizer devices are low-cost solutions for compensating transmission loss occurred within FR4 or cables and reducing the deterministic jitter introduced by such medium.

The passive and linear network design of the CH6000 devices requires no power or ground connection to the chip. Fully symmetric design ensures bi-directional operation. The CH6000 devices can optimize the transmission medium performance up to 5 Gbps and can provide up to 6 dB of boost between dc and the highest operating frequency. With its small footprint (2mm x 2mm), a CH6000 can be placed anywhere in the data path to extend the reach of signals over the lossy transmission medium.

The CH6000 passive equalizers are designed for fully differential signaling, independent of the protocol. The impedance looking into X or Y port is 100 ohm differential when the other port is properly terminated to 100 ohm differentially.

CH6000 devices are available in 4-pin LFCSP/LPCC package (2mm x 2mm x 0.4mm) with 1mm pin pitch.
